Industry Applications
Applications of White Limestone
Steel Industry
Quicklime plays a crucial role in the production of steel, particularly in the transformation of iron into pig iron within blast furnaces. It is also used as a fluxing agent in electric arc and basic oxygen furnaces.
Our high-quality quicklime effectively removes impurities such as silica, phosphorus, and sulfur from the steel-making process. The lime reacts with these impurities to form slag, which is then separated from the steel, enhancing the final product’s quality.

Animal Feed
Limestone is an essential source of calcium for poultry, livestock, and fish, contributing to the development of strong bones in animals and sturdy egg shells in poultry.
Our Feed Grade Limestone is rich in calcium content (over 38%) and exhibits high whiteness, making it ideal for supporting the formation of teeth and bones in animals, as well as promoting proper cardiac function, blood clotting, nerve impulse transmission, and enzyme activation.

Glass Industry
Limestone is an important additive in glass production. Typically, 8-12% of limestone is mixed with silica sand and soda ash, which is then heated to 1500ºC to create molten glass. Soda ash alone can make the glass soft, soluble, and less durable, so limestone is incorporated as a stabilizer to enhance the glass’s hardness and chemical durability.
Soda-lime glass, the most commonly produced type of glass, benefits from our limestone, which has high CaO content (54-55%) and low impurities, such as iron oxide (Fe₂O₃) under 0.04%. This makes it perfect for manufacturing high-quality soda-lime glass.
